Deadline reminder/High Council question

Your fics/arts/podfics are due in THIS SATURDAY, SUNDAY, MONDAY.

That's still plenty of time, though. I've finally updated the list of available betas, although I assume many of them will be working on their own stuff this week, they may well be happy to help if you need a beta (I'm around, probably, and could help.)

The real point of this post is:

I need to know - do we know who is on the High Council in series 1 and 2? I've talked to bagheera_san and asked the TARDIS Index file (which confusingly says that the High Council is tonnes of guys like a parliament, but I think we're working with a number around five). Narvin: yes. Brax: no. Darkel? Valyes? The TARDIS index file says no to Valyes, but yes to someone called Delox.

Any more for any more?

It's stated in 2.1 Lies (about 24:30) that the High Council is, at that point, made up of three Cardinals who are not exactly Romana's greatest fans (plus Wynter). Cardinal Tacken and Cardinal Marissa (spelling entirely guesswork) are not explicitly stated to be among these, but it's implied. I tend to think there's two levels of High Council, the one with lots of people like a Parliament, and the inner circle, as it were, though I'm not sure where I picked that idea up.

(This isn't relevant to my fic, but I'm interested since you raised this point and seem like you know things - how come Wynter gets immediately promoted to being on the high council, if he's only the Castellan for a specific chapter, and it doesn't seem like any other Castellans are on there? Are the other Cardinals also Castellans?)

That's a good point. I can't remember any explanation given in the audios (not to say there isn't one), but I'd be inclined to put it down to politicking. Braxiatel thinks that Wynter being on the High Council is literally a joke, so the place on the High Council can't be attached to his position as Castellan. I'd attribute it to something along the lines of "If Romana is going to have an ally on the Council (and she's going to have an ally on the Council), her political enemies would much rather it be a green impressionable idiot than someone who might actually give them trouble." Compromise. Something like that.
